Merdeka much?

Malaysia...

When I was lil, I always thought that my country is somewhat one of a kind and standout among the rest. You know why, 'cause as far as I know, only Malaysia has the most races? *I'm not sure!* and I was actually really honoured and dignified for being one of them. However, things aren't what they seem to be.

Power/dominance is the only thing  people yearn for.
 Discrimination among different races.
People are practically trying to sabotage each other.
United? I-don't-have-to-answer-that.
Politics is a real mess.
(I don't even want to go further on with these)

Tell me what's the point of studying history then?

According to what I've learnt, the reason why we are forced to stuff TRUCKLOADS of facts into our brain is to prevent the repetition of bad things that have happened in the past, right?
According to our HISTORY TEXTBOOK, nations were divided at that time, that's why British were able to take over Malaysia, right?
So, do you think people are united now? Did we really learn our lessons?

Anyway, there's a small "function" in Rundle Mall, where Malaysians who are living in A. celebrate Hari Kebangsaan today. So,they are like singing "KERANAMU MALAYSIA" right in the middle of Rundle. So much for patriotism! Yay!

Malaysia is a lovely place. the sun, the weather, etc.
But, people should start to care for each other
think less for yourselves, contribute more to the country.
It will definitely be a marvelous place!

I still  you, M.
Happy Birthday!
*waving an invisible flag*
(sorry! I've no real flag with me now.)
